Today, I introduce to you Leanna Grosvenor. Leanna joined Walnut Hill UMC in 2014 with her husband Brett. Leanna's initial connection with the church was as the community liaison for Cigarroa elementary, our partner elementary school. Listen to how Leanna has witnessed the power of Walnut Hill's generosity of financial gifts and service make a difference in the lives of the children at Cigarroa.
There has been so much fulfillment in my life since becoming a part of Walnut Hill's community. During my time at Cigarroa I first witnessed Walnut Hill's mission when members generously and kindly adopted 63 of our neediest children during the holiday season. Seeing the children's faces light up when they received a new book and a new coat just filled my heart with absolute joy and thankfulness for the community of Walnut Hill.
When we identified another need for some our struggling students, Walnut Hill came through again donating their time to come spend a lunch hour with students who needed a consistent adult figure in their life. This was one of the most impactful blessings I viewed while at Cigarroa. To sum it up, I have absolutely seen our church mission lived out every single day through the relationship we've built with Cigarroa and I pray it continues to thrive and get stronger every year.
