The youth meet every Sunday of the month from 12:00-2:00 p.m. Time together includes lunch, fellowship, life lesson and games. We follow the Christian rhythm of hearing scripture, expressing what the Holy Spirit reveals to us, holy listening, prayer and blessing. Each meeting closes with an Acknowledge, Bless and Confess or ABC Blessing where every youth personally hears they are a child of God, God is well pleased with them, God loves them and God hears their prayers. This is immensely impactful for youth. Closing prayer is sharing joys and concerns and praying for one another. The youth group is open to all 7-12th graders who would like to attend and includes a free lunch.
Tween Ministry - Club 56
All current 5th and 6th graders are invited to a monthly gathering on the 3rd Sunday of the month from 12:00-2:00 p.m. This helps younger students begin a healthy spiritual discipline of regular attendance and youth fellowship.
The youth meet with their mentors the third Sunday of every month from 12:00-2:00 p.m. to study the Scriptures through various art forms. Adult experts in film-making, cooking, social media and more meet with the youth to create new ways of encountering Biblical narratives!
Each summer, the youth take a mission trip to grow in service, learn about the world, and create deeper bonds with one another. Mission trips have included Heifer Ranch with Global Village experience, inner-city mission work with the homeless, and Mountain T.O.P. in Tennessee. Local mission opportunities are through Wesley-Rankin in West Dallas, North Dallas Shared Ministries, and every fourth Sunday by assisting our children's ministry through the "Kids in Mission" program. In June of this year, the youth traveled to the Navajo Nation in Arizona to work with the Diné people. Over Spring Break 2018, students will attend the Civil Rights Bus tour, going to important locations of the civil rights movement.
Youth raise funds to help defray the cost of mission trips and our annual Civil Rights Bus Tour. Fundraisers include our annual Valentine's Banquet, The Purple Throne, Flamingo Flocking, and Pancake Breakfast. In April each year, we sponsor a Community Garage Sale for community members to come and sell garage sale and craft items. Click here to download the Garage Sale form if you would like to rent a space at the youth garage sale to sell your stuff!

There are also 3 field trips including a Jewish Synagogue, a Mosque, and a Buddhist Temple.
