Christmas Outreach Opportunities
This is the season to reach out in the love and compassion to others. Here are some ways you can be a part of sharing the Christmas spirit.
December 3rd - 15th
Friends in our neighborhood whose families are financially struggling to provide Christmas gifts have filled out need and wish lists. Pick up an "angel" off of our tree and purchase the requested gifts beginning Sunday, December 3rd. All gifts are to be wrapped and returned by Friday, December 15th, so Santa Claus may deliver them to our families at our Live Nativity event.
Dallas Police Department Tree of Angels
Each year our church parters with the City of Dallas Police Department to host the "Tree of Angels", a night supporting families who have been impacted by homicide this past year. Each family receives an ornament with a photograph of thier loved one, participates in an inspiring worship service and decorates the tree. Afterwards, they enjoy a meal cooked by our church members and served. We welcome cooks, greeters, servers and volunteers to help clean up. Please contact Fran Collins at [email protected] if you are interested in volunteering.
Cooking is 5-8 p.m.
Serving is from 8-9 p.m.
Clean up is from 9-10 p. m.
