Walnut Hill Church is a place where ALL belong!
We love ALL people into relationship with Jesus Christ by connecting and serving with our neighbors.
Our Values of Discipleship
We believe that everyone is on a journey of faith. There are five core values we believe that all Christians must cultivate in their lives and faith journey in order to grow deeper in their faith and devotion to God. Below you will find these values and ways that you can connect and develop each of these in your own personal journey.
worship
Commit to being in ONE worship service weekly. Worship is central to our faith. We are called to worship God with all of our lives. It starts with being connected to a body (church) of other believers. Here at Walnut Hill we worship on Sundays at 11 am. both in-person and online. Everyone is welcomed and its a way to begin, continue, and deepen your devotion to God. Everything else builds on this idea that we are created to Worship and to be people of worship back to God.
Learn
Commit to being in ONE group/class regularly and through prayer and scripture ONE time a day. God has given us the scriptures, our tradition, our reason and our experiences to really know and grow in our understanding of who God is. There are several way that you can begin or continue that growth in learning. We encourage everyone to join a class or small group. These opportunities let you to dig into the scriptures with other and process and learn together. There are other short-term classes and opportunities. Learn more here.
ENGAGE
Commit to being in service to others ONE time a month and to serve on ONE church ministry team this year. As Christians was are called to serve. To serve within the church body as well out in the community. One way that we share our faith and others are able to see God's love is by the way we serve. Get involved now in a ministry team or a mission opportunity today.
SHARE
Commit to sharing your church’s story with ONE person a month and your personal faith story with at least ONE person this year. We are called as Christians to be the "Light of the word" and we don't want to hide that light. We want to share the saving love of Jesus Christ with everyone we meet. People come to knowing and loving God by others sharing that love and pointing them towards the Grace. Church is not about the buildings, or programs, but it's ALL about relationships. Want tools to share your faith?
GIVE
Commit to giving ONE gift above and beyond your regular giving to the church each month. As we worship, learn, engage and share we understand and acknowledge that all good things come from God. And we are able to grow in our discipleship when we give of our resources and finances that God has given to us. It's not the amount you give it the attitude and condition of our hearts that we give.
