United Methodist Women
“United Methodist Women shall be a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ, to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church”. Missions target women, children and youth around the world as a focus of service. At Walnut Hill, we seek to carry out this mission through regular participation in small group experiences and/or quarterly meetings of the larger body of women. Activities target spiritual growth, mission education and participation, and fellowship! Groups may vary in duration as some are ongoing and some are short-term / time-specific groups. UMW Groups include: Bible Study, ongoing mission studies, selected mission activities, special interest groups and book club.
Join our Walnut Hill Book Club!
The club is welcome to all women! You don't have to be a member or regular attendee of our church to join this discussion. We meet at the Park Forest Library on Forest Lane, from 6:30 pm - 8 pm on the 2nd Monday of the month.
